Summary

This paper describes the suitability of rolled cover crops (including oats, triticale and faba beans), white alyssum ( Lobularia maritima), saltbush ( Atriplex semibaccata and Enchylaena tomentosa) and chicory for cultivation with grape under the mid-row crop management system (MCS). The characteristics of vineyards suitable for MCS, and the beneficial effects of the aforementioned crops on vineyard profitability and productivity are covered.
