Summary

The objective of this paper was to study the impact of drought and adaptation measures on the economics of production for some major crops grown in Western Canada. Crop yields, yield variability, and crop losses were analyzed to quantify drought impacts and statistical models were developed to estimate the relationship between yield and growing season precipitation for wheat, canola, oats, and barley.
