Meditation room

The Hale Library meditation room provides a quiet environment to which library users can retreat for both faith and non-faith practices. The room, located on the northeast side of the 3rd floor, is open and available to all in the spirit of promoting a respectful and inclusive university.

Wudu wash station

A wudu wash station is available to the west of the meditation room in the family restroom.

Use of the meditation room

We hope this space provides users with a quiet, contemplative and reflective environment. To create a welcoming space for all, we ask that users:

  • Respect others who are studying in areas adjacent to the alcove by practicing silently or very quietly.
  • Do not move furniture into this space. The room is not furnished out of respect for a variety of practices.
  • Do not leave personal items in the alcove as they may interfere with someone else's use or be stolen.
