Express Delivery from Article Galaxy Scholar
Express Delivery from Article Galaxy Scholar is an extension of interlibrary loan and allows K-State students, faculty and staff to have nearly instant access to select current journal articles to which K-State Libraries does not have a subscription. This service can be accessed through K-State Libraries’ content discovery platform, Search It.
Instructions
Step 1. Use the Search It search box on the K-State Libraries homepage to locate your article by title. You can also visit the Search It homepage directly to conduct your search.
Step 2. Click the “Sign in” button in the top right corner of the Search It results webpage and sign in using your K-State eID and password. Authenticating as a current K-State student, faculty or staff member will offer additional results.
Step 3. Toggle the “Expand beyond K-State Collections” option in the upper left corner of the results page to activate it. Doing this allows you to see titles in journal or database subscriptions that are not licensed by K-State Libraries.
Step 4. Click the title of your chosen article from the search results to open a detailed record of availability options.
Step 5. Options for requesting the title can be found under “Additional services.”
Express Delivery is best for time-sensitive current article requests. K-State Libraries incurs a cost for each article requested using this service, so if the need is not urgent, please consider using interlibrary loan by clicking the “Not Available? Request from Interlibrary Loan” link.
If you would like to proceed with Express Delivery, click “Express Delivery.” This service is not available for all titles. Ineligible content will be redirected to interlibrary loan.
Step 6. Click “Request PDF.” The article will automatically download to your device and be delivered to your K-State email.
