Our people

Living in the Little Apple

We know that the town you live in has a big impact on career choices and we're proud that Manhattan offers a little bit of everything.

Family attractions are plentiful and include a zoo, city water parks and an art center. The Little Apple hosts many special events throughout the year, including the Little Apple Pride Parade and Festival, Arts in the Park and even a crawfish festival. For the outdoorsy, the city offers access to state parks, bike trails, hiking, fishing, boating and more.

Manhattan’s restaurant scene is continuously growing and offers a wide variety of cuisines, including Italian, Jamaican, Mexican fusion, Indian, Thai and Vietnamese. The city currently supports three breweries and one winery.

But the best thing about Manhattan is the people. Strong partnerships between campus, military and community organizations continue to improve the town.
