Caring for Humanity: 150 Years of the College of Health and Human Sciences

Oct. 7, 2023-June 28, 2024

Caring for Humanity Exhibit

This exhibit celebrates the 150th anniversary of the founding of the College of Health and Human Sciences. It features books, photographs and artifacts from various collections that showcase the rich history of the seven departments that currently make up the college.

From its creation in 1873, thousands of students have graduated from the College of Health and Human Sciences; the college also is an international leader in several program areas, including the teaching of what was once referred to as “home economics”. Students have gone on to become leaders in family financial planning, fashion, kinesiology, child development and food studies.

The exhibit is on display in the fifth-floor gallery of Hale Library.
