Morse Family and Community Public Policy Scholarship
This $5,500 scholarship, awarded annually, provides funds to support a project or internship that gives a student the experience of working in community, state or federal governments or providing service in the nonprofit sector.
The project or internship must encourage the development of public policy which improves the quality of family and community life. All K-State undergraduates are welcome to apply. Seniors must be enrolled at K-State next fall semester.
The application deadline is March 23, 2026.
Application requirements
- Cover letter addressed to the Dean of Libraries describing your interest in public policy development that positively impacts the quality of family and community life.
- Resume.
- Description of your project or internship that clearly states your goals and objectives for the project or internship.
- Letter of recommendation from your project or internship sponsor.
- Letter of recommendation from a professor with direct knowledge of your academic achievement.

This award honors Richard L. D. and Marjorie J. Morse's lifetime of commitment and activism at the community, state and federal levels to improve the quality of family and community life.
