Welcome to K-State Libraries!

As the new Dean of Libraries, I’d like to extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to all our students, faculty, staff, extension offices and local community members.

This is the first semester since a fire in 2018 that the entire Hale Library is fully operational. This new facility provides us with exciting opportunities to support student success, collaborate with campus partners and create new community connections. I am eager to get to know as many students, alumni, faculty and staff as possible to hear your ideas and learn how we can support you.

We remain committed to fostering academic excellence and are excited about resuming in-person services following the pandemic and post-fire reconstruction. There still may be some minor disruptions as we are dealing with various supply chain delays with furniture and technology, so please bear with us in the meantime.

We serve as the informational and intellectual commons for our public, land-grant institution. Our main and branch libraries provide specialized research support and information literacy services, access to an array of carefully curated online and physical resources, technologically infused study-rooms, collaborative and quiet spaces, reading rooms, special collections and university records management. The Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab further expands our services through a media studio, makerspaces, Liquid Galaxy display and more.

Our faculty and staff look forward to seeing you in person or online. Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any comments or recommendations. I wish you a successful semester!

Go wildcats!
