About Livia:
Livia can meet individually with students or faculty to help with research questions and help faculty develop research assignments for students using library resources. She also can visit your undergraduate or graduate class to teach information literacy skills like finding, using and evaluating library resources. She consults with the science content development librarian in making library collection decisions about books, journals and electronic resources.
Besides assisting students and faculty in her subject areas, Livia is involved in The Rangelands Partnership, a collaboration between librarians and range scientists in the western states.
Research interest:
Geography-based database searching, collection development for reference and instruction librarians, libraries’ role in science identity development, Kansas rangelands, collaborative projects with other agriculture librarians, digitization of historical agriculture publications and library support for systematic reviewsn
Fun fact:
Livia worked at a botanic garden before becoming a librarian.
