Lending to other libraries

K-State Libraries accepts requests via OCLC (KKS), Kansas ShareIt and through our ILLiad lending form. The length of all loans except those listed below are 16 weeks with 1 possible 4 week renewal.

Non-circulating items

We do not lend phono discs, reference items, reserves and special collections materials.

Cost and fees

We do not charge borrowing fees to Kansas libraries (except those supporting for-profit corporations); members of the GWLA consortium or libraries with reciprocal agreements.

The cost per loan or article (up to 50 pages) is $15. Additionally, we charge the actual cost for shipping loans internationally which we would ask you to approve before shipping. Payments can be received through OCLC IFM, IFLA vouchers or prepayment via VISA or MasterCard.

If items are lost, we charge replacement costs plus a $20 handling fee. We cannot accept replacement items.
