We offer a variety of services to support your research and scholarly communication efforts at Kansas State University. The Center for the Advancement of Digital Scholarship can help you navigate these options and answer any questions.
Store and share your work
K-State faculty and researchers can use the university’s digital repository, the K-State Research Exchange (K-REx). K-REx increases the impact of your work by making it freely available to anyone with access to the internet. K-REx is optimized for visibility through Google and other search engines, resulting in more citations, more visibility and greater impact.
We also offer storage and sharing options for electronic theses, dissertations and reports submitted by K-State students.
Create OERs and publish open access
We can provide guidance on how to find resources and create open education resources (OER) that save students money and provide accessible and interactive content. We can also provide resourses and expertise on the benefits of open access, how to retain author rights and finding reputable open access publishers.
Create an open access book
K-State faculty and researches can publish an open access e-book using K-State Libraries New Prairie Press.
Publish a journal or conference proceeding
K-State faculty and staff can publish an open access journal or conference proceeding online using New Prairie Press.
Understand research impact
We can help you understand research impact, including altmetrics, with tools and resources. You can also learn how to demonstrate the impact of your own research.
Find resources to support research data
There are many resources available to help you find and manage data. We offer access to data tools pertaining to location, visualization, preservation and documentation. We also have many campus partners that can offer services such as statistics consulting.
