Step into a world of limitless possibilities. The Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab offers K-State students, staff, faculty and the community the opportunity to unleash their imagination and use the latest innovative technologies.
The lab aims to make innovation accessible to everyone and provides opportunities to explore new ideas and gain inspiration.

This Linux computer lab is uniquely designed for machine learning and AI development. It includes a depth-perception camera; single board computers, such as Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA's Jetson Nano; Arduino microcontrollers; an Amazon DeepLens camera; and 13 computers, one of which is at a three-person collaboration desk with wall-mounted display.
These open spaces can be used for meetings, trainings, webinars and presentations. They feature whiteboards, video displays, seating and table space. The wall-mounted video displays can be hooked up to laptops.
This glassed-in environment is used for 3D printing, laser cutting and fabrication via powered and unpowered tools. It includes 10 filament 3D printers, four resin 3D printers, two laser cutters, two desktop computers, a sink, display area and supplies.
The immersion studio is a position-aware, immersive environment that features both virtual reality headsets and near-surround wall projections for visualizing and experiencing digital content with the naked eye.
The Liquid Galaxy multi-panel display can be used for remote experiences, data visualization, GIS and map viewing. A built-in content management system can allow you or your class to create custom presentations for small groups.
This workshop space can be used to create handcrafted projects. It includes a variety of tools and materials, a sink, sewing machines, sergers, a Cricut and a t-shirt press.
This computer lab features iMacs and Windows PCs with video, image and sound editing software, as well as VR, AR and CAD development apps. The space also has a reserved area for a multifunction color copier, a large-format scanner and a large-format printer. There are 19 total computers.
This room includes three projectors and sound equipment to immerse users in rich digital media. The room can also display regular content, making it useful as a meeting space for digital collaboration.
This small studio room features studio lighting, a camera and microphone, a green screen and recording equipment that operates through minimal effort. It's ideal for recording presentations, interviews and even podcasts.
This state-of-the-art recording studio includes a digital recording workstation, mounted LCD display, sound monitors, microphone array, pre-amps, headphones, a custom-built recording booth and a full-sized piano-style keyboard.
The video studio features a control room and theatrical space, which includes adjustable stage-grid lighting and a microphone array.
