Computers and software

K-State Libraries has a variety of computers and software for visitors to use. Users must sign in to PC computers with their K-State eID and password. Mac computers do not require users to sign in.

Where to find computers

Hale Library
  • First floor: eight PC computers
  • Second floor: 87 PC computers, 12 Macs, 27 hub monitors
  • Third floor: 12 PC computers
  • Fourth floor: 18 PC computers

The Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab offers additional computers.

Math/Physics Library
  • Four PC computers
Paul Weigel Library of Architecture, Planning and Design
  • Five PC computers and one Mac

Software

Library computers come with various software, depending on whether you are using a Mac or PC.

Tips for using library computers

  • Save your work often to an external storage device, such as a USB flash drive. Computer software removes all internally stored data after 30 minutes of inactivity.
  • Don’t leave your property unattended while using computers.
  • Sign out of both the computer and the print station when you are done.
