Accessibility
K-State Libraries is committed to making its resources, services and equipment accessible to all faculty, staff, students and members of the broader K-State community. In alignment with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Libraries works to ensure everyone can access, use and benefit from its resources and services.

K-State Libraries subscribes to a large array of electronic journals, books and databases from external vendors and publishers. We continue to work with our partner vendors and publishers to meet current accessibility standards.
K-State Libraries is actively working to adhere to accessibility guidelines. While most web pages and digital resources follow current standards, some older content may not yet be fully compliant. If you have trouble accessing any portion of the Libraries’ website, please reach out to libhelp@k-state.edu for support.
Alternative textbooks and e-books
Students with print disabilities such as visual impairments or learning disabilities may qualify for alternative forms of textbooks. The Student Access Center provides resources and information to assist on their Alternative Text webpage.
Library staff can assist in retrieving items from the shelves. If you need help accessing materials or navigating the stacks, visit any library help desk for assistance.
Scanners are available at all K-State Libraries locations for creating digital copies of print materials. Library staff can assist with scanning, printing, copying, or producing enlarged copies of handouts upon request. For more information, visit our Print, Copy and Scan webpage.
The Richard L. D. and Marjorie J. Morse Department of Archives and Special Collections houses some of K-State’s rare and unique print materials that are fragile or require special handling. Researchers are encouraged to contact the department in advance so materials can be prepared for use. For assistance, email libsc@k-state.edu.
General assistance is available in person at any library help desk, by phone, email, or through online chat during designated service hours. Library staff will work with you to identify the best solutions and connect you with the appropriate campus resources for accessibility or support.

Students registered with the Student Access Center can receive extended loan periods on K-State Libraries materials. Visit any library help desk for assistance or register with the Student Access Center.
