The Center for Scholarly Publishing (CSP) leads the Libraries’ scholarly communication efforts. The center engages in partnerships across campus and the community to increase the visibility and impact of research and scholarship produced at K-State. CSP advocates for open access and innovative discovery platforms to make quality content more affordable and accessible to all.
CSP is dedicated to:
- Advancing undergraduate research and scholarly work by providing publishing opportunities.
- Supporting education on open data, data services and data management.
- Promoting education and consultation on copyright, fair use, author rights and other intellectual property issues.
- Providing valuable alternatives for open access publishing.
- Enhancing education, instruction and consultation on open access.

Gwen can provide copyright and licensing education to faculty, staff and students.
Ryan Otto, digital scholarship librarian
Ryan coordinates the university's digital repository, K-State Research Exchange, and can help answer questions about digital publishing and open access.
Carolyn Jackson, scholarly education and open educational resources librarian
Carolyn collaborates with faculty and departments across campus to promote and support the development and use of open educational resources, the Open/Alternative Textbook Initiative (OATI) grant, e-book publishing and scholarly identity.
